It was originally intended to have a chapter on design in the book but we ran out of space. The chapter was partly written when the decision was made so, for completeness, I finished it off and included it here. As it was not going to be in the book I have made the style a little more “chatty”, a bit more like my teaching style. Also, as it has not been to the publishers art department, the artwork is a bit amateurish! However I hope it helps.
