Cutting a lap joint – how to use a paring chisel
This is an exercise I teach on my four day beginners and basic jointing weekend. Not because the lap is a common joint, more to teach the skill of paring which is a basic hand skill. It’s useful to watch this video in conjunction with my planing and sawing videos.
