The Campaign for Slow Dovetails.

At woodworking shows and on Youtube you can see demonstrations of dovetailing where the emphasis is on speed of work, dovetails complete in 4 minutes. All very clever, but not very instructive. Also, if you are not making a living from woodwork, why rush it? Why not enjoy the process of cutting a complex joint well? This is why I am instituting “The Campaign for Slow Dovetails”!

In this article I will show how to cut and fit nice snug dovetails, the emphasis being on the quality of the joint rather than speed.
