Afifa’s coffee table

occasional table in oak with glass top

Afifa has been coming to my evening class for about eighteen months. Her first project was a coat rack (which she still has to send me pictures of!), her second was this interesting designed coffee/occasional table. The design is a development from Ray’s oak coffee table where the rectangular section legs are at right angles to each other.  I think the smoked glass insert works well with the oiled oak.  Although it looks simple the piece requires great accuracy to pull off. I think Afifa, who is a patient and precise worker, has managed it.

She has started on her next project which is a dressing table to house her large make up collection.
